Tutor Terms & Conditions

Your comprehensive guide to joining and working with TutorOnTheWay as a tutor.

Please read these terms carefully before accepting any tutoring assignments. By joining ToTw, you agree to abide by these conditions.

Important Notice

These terms and conditions are legally binding. By registering as a tutor with TutorOnTheWay, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all terms outlined below. Last updated: August 2025.

Purpose and Scope

  1. TutorOnTheWay (ToTw) agrees to connect the Tutor with students for private, online, or home-based tuition. TOTW will provide ongoing support in administrative and academic coordination to ensure a seamless tutoring experience.

Comission Structure

  1. TOTW will deduct a service fee from the total monthly fee paid by each student as follows:
  2. - Month 1: TOTW retains 40% of the first month's fee.
  3. - Month 2 onward: TOTW retains 20% of each monthly fee thereafter.
  4. The remaining amount will be transferred to the Tutor after deducting the applicable service fee.
  5. Example (based on PKR 10,000 monthly fee):
  6. - Month 1: Tutor receives PKR 6,000
  7. - Month 2 onward: Tutor receives PKR 8,000

Payment Terms

  1. Payments are collected by TOTW and disbursed to the Tutor between the 1st and 5th of each month.
  2. Tutors must deliver a minimum of 15 classes per month to be eligible for full payment.
  3. In the event of extra classes or necessary adjustments, final payment will be recalculated accordingly.

Responsibilities of ToTw

  1. Acquiring and onboarding students.
  2. Monitoring feedback and academic progress.
  3. Weekly progress tests (1-2 tests) by ToTw representative to evaluate the student and tutor’s progress.
  4. Replacing tutors if students/parents are dissatisfied.
  5. Offering administrative support and schedule coordination.

Responsibilities of the Tutor

  1. Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  2. Maintain regular communication with TOTW regarding class issues, progress updates, and schedule changes.
  3. Provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any planned absences or any issues.
  4. Refrain from direct dealings or agreements with TOTW clients without prior written approval from TOTW.

Termination

  1. Either party may terminate this agreement with a 7-day written notice.
  2. TOTW reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately in cases of misconduct, misrepresentation, or repeated complaints.

Amedments

  1. TOTW reserves the right to revise this agreement or commission structure with 15 days’ prior written notice. Any amendments will be formally communicated through email, WhatsApp, or in-person meetings.

Acknowledgment

  1. By signing below, the Tutor acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions stated in this agreement.
  2. Mandatory Requirement: The Tutor must submit a copy of their CNIC along with their e-signature to validate this agreement.

These terms and conditions are subject to change. Tutors will be notified of any updates via communication channels as needed. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
